Limb Bagging
Limb bagging is a topical ozone therapy technique used to deliver medical-grade ozone gas directly to a specific limb or body area. It is commonly employed in alternative medicine to treat chronic wounds, infections, diabetic ulcers, and other localized skin or tissue conditions.
The limb is then placed inside a specialized, airtight bag. This bag is connected to an ozone generator that produces medical-grade ozone gas at a controlled concentration. The bag is sealed around the limb, ensuring no gas escapes during the treatment.
The ozone gas is introduced into the bag and allowed to surround the affected area. The duration of the treatment varies depending on the condition being treated but typically lasts between 2 to 5 minutes. During this time, the ozone interacts with the skin and underlying tissues, promoting oxygenation, killing bacteria, and fungi, and stimulating the body’s natural healing processes.
Patients may notice improvements such as reduced swelling, faster wound healing, or relief from localized pain over time. Limb bagging is especially advantageous for patients with open wounds or skin conditions, as it avoids the need for systemic treatments and directly targets the problem area.

FAQS
Ozone is a gas made up of three oxygen atoms (O₃). In nature, Ozone protects us from harmful UV rays. Tropospheric ozone is the component of air pollution that is actually measured, and is not the majority of overall air pollution. In medical settings, ozone is a purified form of oxygen, and is used therapeutically to support healing and improve oxygenation in the body.
No, medical ozone and tropospheric ozone are not the same. Tropospheric ozone, often linked to smog, is used as an indicator because it’s easy and cost-effective to measure, correlating with overall pollution levels. Medical ozone is pure and carefully controlled for therapeutic use. It might irritate the lungs and is there for carefully utilized.
The procedure and doses are tailored to the individual patient.
